I wanted a new lay, 'cause I've had the other one for quite some time. I hope you like it too! I may edit the info-page as well, but I'm not sure yet... I'm very lazy you know ;)

That's all for now. Bye bye!

    <lj:music>Portishead - Only You</lj:music>

The weather is terrible and I really should be studying my ass off, so this is the perfect moment for the first update in a very long time! I really felt like doing this meme (which I took from frookypooky), so I took my iPod, and this is what happened:

1. Open your music library.
2. Put it on shuffle.
3. Press play.
4. For every question, type the song that’s playing.
5. When you go to a new question, press the ‘next’ button.
6. Don’t lie.

Opening credits:
Red Hot Chili Peppers - She's only 18 (Oh no, I'm not! That's ages ago :p)

Waking up:
Skunk Anansie - Weak (I really didn't wanna get out of bed this morning, so I guess this one's right!)

First day of High School:
Moby - First Cool Hive (Well, I think I've been in other cool places with lots of people before my first day of high school, but I still think this one makes sense!)

Falling in love:
John Mayer - I'm gonna find another you (Wow, this one fits perfectly, don't you thing? It's amazing! I'm not sure though who the 'you' is I have to replace...)

Fight song:
Coldplay - Politik (Hm...)

Breaking up:
Jamie Cullum - My Yard (More like the opposite of breaking up, if you ask me)

Prom:
Kaiser Chiefs - Time Honoured Tradition (Oh yeah! The prom is a tradition! This one is perfect!)

Life:
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Give it away (Noooo, my life is mine!)

Mental breakdown:
Yoko Ono (Queer as Folk Soundtrack) - Walking on thin ice (This is just creepy!)

Driving:
Heather Nova - We Can Work It Out (Yaaay! It's a happy driving song! I can feel the sun shining through my windows as I'm riding through fields full of... sunflowers? I don't know...)

Flashback:
Moulin Rouge Soundtrack - Children of the Revolution (I guess I really was a rebel, this one fits perfectly!)

Getting back together:
Anouk - Help (Well, can't get back together on my own, can I?)

Wedding:
James Blunt - Goodbye My Lover (No, no, no! Wrong song for a wedding!)

Birth of child:
Pirates Soundtrack - Fog Bound (Ehm...?)

Final battle:
Red Hot Chili Peppers - This Velvet Glove (I guess it's a gentle battle :D)

Death scene:
Sneaker Pimps (Queer as Folk Soundtrack) - Loretta Young Silk (nope, sorry, don't see the connection)

Funeral song:
Vive la fête - Jaloux (I don't think anyone will be jealous at my funeral)

End credits:
Joe Jackson - Sunday Papers (Right...)

-------------------------------------------------------------------

*What does this year have in store for me?
Jason Nevins (Queer as Folk Soundtrack) - I'm the Main Man (Wow, I'll play the leading role in my own life :p)

*What’s my love life like?
Red Hot Chili Pepers - Minor Thing (It's been a minor thing for years, now it's enough!)

*What do I say when life gets hard?
Blue Man Group - Tension 2 (Tough life => tension, so there is some connection!)

*What do you think of on waking up?
Joe Jackson - Is she really going out with him (LOL!)

*What song will I dance to at my wedding?
Simon & Garfunkel - The only living boy in new york (Is that the reason I married him? :p)

*What do you want as a career?
Gotan Project - Época (I had to look that one up, it means 'Time'... So, a career in time... Selling watches or something?)

*Your favourite saying?
Anouk - No time to waste (I guess I should live to that one, I'm wasting so much time!)

*Favourite place?
Kaiser Chiefs - Born to be a Dancer (ehm...)

*What do you think of your parents?
Snow Patrol - Warmer Climate (Guess my mother is a warm person!!)

*What’s your Pornstar name?
Vive la Fête - Melancolie (Don't think that name would really fit a pornstar)

*Where would you go on a first date?
The Sheer - Stay Awake (Well, that's a start ;))

*Drug of choice?
Skin - Don't need a reason ("You're on ecstasy I'm on herbal tea". Yeah, herbal tea for me all the time!)

*Describe yourself
James Blunt - Billy (Ehmm?)

*What is the thing I like doing most?
Babylon Circus - Le Facteur (Oh no, I hate delivering the mail, I hate being a mailman!)

*What is my state of mind like at the moment?
Jamie Lidell - Newme (Can't find the lyrics anywhere, so can't check if the song fits better than the title)

*How will I die?
Vive la Fête - Premiere Fois (Whahah, I hoped I'd be the first to die the second time, but no, it will be the first time for me too.)

<lj:music>Otis Redding - (Sittin' on) The dock of the bay</lj:music>

As you can see, I'm not much of an updater these days, I'm sorry. But, here I am again! I'm just gonna tell you some nice and some less nice stuff, not in any order, no complete story of my life, just some things I'm willing to tell you ;)

First of all, I'm sick, almost 3 days now. It started last sunday, I was feeling a little bluh, but nothing more than that. It was getting worse and that evening I was really ill... and I still am. And that really sucks 'cause I don't have time for it, I need to go to school! Lucky me, today I had the day off anyway because of 'Prinsjesdag'... but I still hope I'll feel ok very soon. A good thing about it is... I'm loosing weight :D Hope it doesn't come back the moment I feel well again!

Another thing, last week I was asked to take pictures at the wedding of Laurine's mother (someone at my school)! At first I was a bit afraid, because It would be terrible if I'd ruin the wedding-day pictures... but I did it anyway, last friday! And I made €50,- so that's nice too! And it went very well! I'm very happy I did it.

Next week is my birthday... I don't know what to think of it... I like 19 so much, it's a nice number I think! And I'll never be a teenager again in my whole life. I feel so old already! And I don't know what to do, whether to throw a party or not and if yes, where, when, how? Hmmm... have to think about that!

Ok, enough for now, I'm getting a headache... I hate computers when I'm ill! See ya all soon! Hugs!

I'm sooo sorry I didn't update is such a long time! I don't have any excuses, it's all my fault! So, lots of things to tell you but not really looking forward to writing a whole book, so it's gonna be short fact-like thingies to let you know what's going on in my life.

First of all, I had an amazing time in Crete! It was so fantastic! The weather was perfect, the food delicious and we had so much fun! We didn't do anything, actually... well.. we swam... and we ate, that's about it ;) Sounds boring, but it wasn't! The result: lots and lots of pics and much deeper friendships!

And then... school started (the day we came back!). It's gonna be a busy year (it's my exam year). It's hard work, but it's kinda nice too. Looking forward to graduation though ;)

Elisa and I visited Beatstad. Unfortunately she was ill so we left after the first concert. But I loved it! Racoon rules *yeah*

Today I saw an amazing movie and I think you should all watch it, 'cause it's really fantastic! I'm talking about C.R.A.Z.Y. (only in 5 dutch theaters...) and I'm in love with the main character *he's so hot!* If someone wants to be nice to me, I'd like to have an icon! His name is Marc-André Grondin pic

Ok, that's enough for now... have to get some sleep!
Bye bye sweeties!

A green grasshopper-kind-of-insect! Yes, really! And it was in my room last night. I went to my bed, looked up and there it was, on the ceiling. I immediately grabbed my camera and took some pictures and then I asked my mother to set it free. I'm not really scared or something, I got rid of a spider for Margriet two days ago, without killing it of course, but this was something new... I didn't know what to do. So, my mother placed it outside and I went to sleep ;)

    <lj:music>J'aurais Bien Voulu - Babylon Circus</lj:music>

Yesterday I went to my friend Margriet's for a sleepover. We hadn't seen each other in four weeks or something because of mine and her holiday. We watched both our holiday pictures (over a thousand I think :O) and because we hadn't seen each other in such a long time we had a lot to talk about. We also watched Love Actually (which I'd never seen before, I loved it!), two episodes of Grey's Anatomy (which I never watch, but it's nice) and I know what you did last summer. The next morning we had to get up quite early because she and her mother were going te visit her grandparents. It was so nice to see her again and to chat about our latest school-year and our coming schoolyear and our classmates and our upcoming holiday (Margriet, Desmond, Cemme and I are going to Crete for 11 days on Friday, I'm sooo looking forward to that!).

Yeah, my cinema-card is un-blocked so I can go to the Cinema again! I think I'm going to watch two movies tonight, probably Broken Flowers and Paradise Now (I've already seen Paradise Now, but it's a great movie so I'm going to watch it again).

I updated my user-info-page.
Some of you may know I visited the amazingly paradise-like isle of Tobago (10 til 24 july 2006) and I thought it was time to post some pictures. Only a few now, I'll post more later.
At the moment I was at Tobago had the Heritage Festival at which the people remember and show each other where they came from and show their culture. Every town does something different and the whole festival lasts about two weeks.

I visited the opening of the festival ánd the... Goat and Crab races in the town of Buccoo. Yeah, really, goat-races! And they take it very seriously. Normally the goat-races, goat-racing is their national sport, take place on Easter Tuesday, but now, for the Heritage Festival they did it again. It was so much fun, we watched it all afternoon.
They have a real goat-race-course with a sign for the goat-names and the jockey-names and everything! It was really amazing to watch! And now, I'll show you some pictures I took at this unique event.

A jockey and his goat on their way to the start.

The start.

Look at their faces :o

Run, run, faster!

Who's the winner?

This one isn't, 'cause the jockey has to hold the rope while finishing.

Yeah, number 7 looks like a winner to me!

At this moment I'm totally addicted to livejournal. I already updated my interests, I took some things from all my friends and added a few myself.
Arghhhh I'm so frustrated right now! And there's nothing I can do about the situation so that frustrates me even more! I hate that!
Ok, let me explain... I have a card so I can go to the cinema whenever I want, as much as I want. And that's exactly what I do most of the time. Every end of the month I pay for it but this month... there wasn't enough money on my bank account so they couldn't take the money. Normally when something like that happens (it never happened with this card, but it happened with other monthly payments)they try it again later or send an email or something. But yesterday, they just blocked my card! As soon as I got an email about that I payed the money, but the thing is, they'll probably activate my card again on monday or something and now I'm gonna miss some very cool movies (they are doing some movies from last year like Pride and Prejudice, but only for a couple of days, NOW!). I already called the cinema yesterday and they told me I just have to wait. Today I sent an email but I haven't heard anything about that yet... I really hope they can do something about it before the weekend but I think they won't... I hate them! So much!

Ok, enough about that. Now I need your help with something. Elisa already tried to help me, but it didn't work, so now it's your turn. I don't get any emails when someone comments on me. Not when I post something here and not when I comment on someone else's journal and someone comments on that. That's pretty crappy 'cause now I have to search them and that sucks. So if someone knows what to do about it, please let me know!

Edit: I found it, it was my own mistake, I made this account with another email address and totally forgot about that! But now it's changed and I think everything should work ok now! Thanks anyway!

You know, I hate this. The first post is always the worst, because you're not really gonna say something about anything that anyone really cares about, but hey, one has to be the first... I've done this so many times and I always quit after a couple of entries, so I don't know how long this time will last, but I'll try to make it as long as possible...
The layout was made by damnicons and I took all of my userpics from ate_a_bug, my lovely sister, too bad I could only take six..

This is everything for now 'cause it's very late and I have to get some sleep!
